_It felt nice to have her friends around her. A bottle of wine, a pinot grigio, Amy's favorite, sat open on the table. A friend sat across from her, and her neighbor Marco was chatting with them over the wall.  Amy stole a glance at Marco.  He met her eyes, just briefly, and then looked away.  Amy wondered if he had any idea about her affections for him.  After all, they were no longer schoolmates but well into adulthood.  Just what was this game they were playing?  Amy shook her head and looked back at her friend, but he heart was with the man behind her, his calloused hands resting on the stone of her garden wall.
